CHILLI GARLIC PONZU SALMON

5 MINS OF PREP for the most mouth-wateringly delish, tender, flaky, salmon fillets… marinated in ONLY 5 INGREDIENTS and baked to perfection… the most delectable flavour combo.  

The tangy ponzu sauce gives an extra pop of citrusy flavour and compliments the spiciness of the chilli oil and garlic beautifully. Just perfect for a quick and easy to make dinner on #FishFriday.

CHILLI GARLIC PONZU SALMON

Ingredients

  • 5 Salmon fillets, skin on or off depending on your preference (I left it on)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • Sea salt flakes and ground black pepper
  • GARNISH: Spring onions and Toasted sesame seeds
  • .
  • MARINADE
  • 200ml Ponzu citrus soy sauce (I used @kikkomanuk)
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha chilli sauce
  • 4 Garlic cloves, chopped small
  • 25g Coriander with stems, chopped fine
  • 2 tbsp Chilli oil (I used LGM Crispy Chilli oil)

Instructions

1. Whisk all the marinade ingredients into a bowl
2. Pour the marinade into a large oven proof baking dish
3. Add the salmon (if you are keeping the skin on then try to keep it dry from the marinade), cover and Maronite in the fridge for at least 2 hours
4. Pre-heat the oven grill/ broiler
5. Brush the salmon skin with sesame oil (skip this if no skin) and season with salt and pepper
6. Grill on a medium shelf until the salmon is cooked to your liking
7. Remove from the oven and serve with steaming hot jasmine rice
8. Garnish with sliced spring onions and toasted sesame seeds
9. Enjoy!
