This super tender and succulent roast beef with garlic and rosemary made in the air fryer was amazing!! The meat was cooked to perfection and soooo flavourful, it retained it’s natural juices and had a crispy seared outside. Even the garlic and rosemary crisped up and there was plenty of gravy.
I am fed up of spending so much on a few thin slices of supermarket roast beef which my teenager scoffs in 2 secs flat!… so I thought I’d get a small roasting joint, try air frying and slice it to use during the week. This joint cost me £12.80 from @ocado… bargain!!
1. Pre heat the air-fryer to 220CIngredients
Instructions
2. Make a few 1cm slits in the roast and slip some of the sliced garlic inside
3. Placed the joint in the air-fryer basket, drizzle with olive oil all over, then put the remaining garlic slices and rosemary in the basket or tuck them into the cooking twine around the beef
4. Season well with sea salt and black pepper and massage into the beef so it is nicely marinated
5. Pop the basket into the air flyer and cook the beef for 5 mins
6. Change the temperature to 200C and cook the beef for another 40-45 mins turning it over half way through cooking
7. This should give you a medium rare cook, I suggest using a meat thermometer to get the doneness to your liking
8. Remove from the air fryer and cover with foil, let the meat rest for 10 minutes before carving
9. Serve with all the natural juices, crispy garlic and rosemary
10. Enjoy!
