MEXICAN INSPIRED CHIPOTLE PORK STEAKS

Happy Cinqo de Mayo!! These juicy pork steaks are super quick to make, budget friendly and bursting with flavour, just finger-licking good.  Simply blitz all the ingredients in a food processor, rub onto the steaks and cook until charred… as easy as that!

MEXICAN INSPIRED CHIPOTLE PORK STEAKS

Ingredients

  • 100ml olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 50ml Orange juice
  • 100g Chipotle peppers in adobe sauce (or chipotle paste)
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Vineagr
  • 2 tsp Sea salt flakes
  • 1 tbsp Mustard (I used chipotle mustard)
  • 6 Garlic cloves
  • 1 Red onion, roughly chopped
  • 10g Oregano, fresh (or 2 tsp dried)
  • 10g Thyme, fresh (or 2 tsp dried)
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 8 Pork Steaks

Instructions

1. Blitz all the ingredients (except the pork!) in a food processor until you have a coarse pasta
2. Massage the paste onto the pork steaks and leave to marinate for 2 hours if you have time, even better marinate overnight
3. When ready to cook, remove the pork steaks from the fridge and let them reach room temperature
4. Heat the BBQ, Air-fryer or oven and cook the pork to your liking
5. Serve with your favourite Mexican sides and enjoy!
