This sweet, tangy, nutty, toasted sesame tuna is dripping with flavour from the simplest and most incredible dressing… ready in under 15 minutes, this is one recipe that NEVER lets me down, it’s a wonder in every way, every single time!
I have this as a salad or sometimes with hot rice and steamed veg as a dinner option… so delicious!
1. Place all the dressing ingredients into a jar with a tight fitting lid and shake well, set asideIngredients
Instructions
2. Mix the sesame seeds, chilli powder, salt and pepper in a plate
3. Coat the tuna in the sesame seed spice mix, pressing it into the flesh and coating all sides generously, set aside
4. Cook in the air fryer on 200C for 3-6 mins or to your desired doneness, turning halfway
5. Alternatively heat a non stick frying pan with a little oil over medium high heat
6. When the pan is very hot add the tuna steaks and cook for 1.5-2 minutes on each side until the seeds form a golden crust all over, careful not to overcook if you want the tuna to be pink and slightly raw in the middle
7. Remove the tuna from the pan when it is at your desired doneness, set aside
8. Slice the tuna and serve with your choice of lettuce leaves, avocado and cherry tomatoes or even with steamed rice and vegetables
9. Pour over the warm dressing and enjoy!
